Competiveness

The Network aims to enhance the competitiveness of its members by:-

  • encouraging product, process and business innovation

  • providing a forum for identification, analysis and dissemination of new techniques, technology and practice

  • promoting the exchange of information and experience on issues of mutual interest and importance.

The diversity of the members in terms of their size, processes and the markets which they service is a key factor in the Network’s success in achieving these goals.

Direct assistance

TVT is a consultancy business which specialises in working with technology companies and organisations.  Network members have access to both consultancy and action based learning services at special, reduced rates.

Exploitation of new ideas

The Network was formed to encourage and facilitate wider exploitation of new ideas as the basis for growth and development by business and industry.

For, while the UK boasts some of the most innovative and globally competitive companies, overall, both nationally and regionally, our competitiveness and wealth creating capacity falls well short of those of many other advanced, industrialised nations. The Network aims to help to redress this situation, through the sharing of ideas and information and encouraging innovation in all aspects of the enterprise.

The Network represents a low cost, low risk but effective mechanism for managers to learn from the experience of others.

Network "core" meetings

These are held 5 times per year and are designed to stimulate innovation relating to people, processes, markets and technology.   Companies who have been through a change process share with members, the challenges they faced and the benefits gained.

Special Interest Groups

SIGs meet more informally 4 times per year to pursue areas of common interest in more detail. There are two special interest groups (or SIGs) in the M4 Innovation Network.

One-to-one

Transactions between members are encouraged through a secure-access members’ directory and bulletin board within this website.
